The front entrance is home to a garden bench and boot/log store which is very handy for the autumn and winter seasons. Once inside the entrance hallway, you find the downstairs wc complete with a useful fitted washer/dryer. Directly from here you enter the charming spacious sitting room with large French double doors opening outwards onto the garden terrace. The light streams through into the sitting room creating a wonderful airy, relaxed atmosphere.

The sitting room has an ivory wood burning cottage stove as a delightful feature – with its glass door, you can watch the logs burning and flickering flames, the two large luxurious sofas are arranged to take full advantage of the garden views. The French doors open onto a beautifully furnished garden terrace. The colonial style collection of garden furniture is ideal for relaxing and the garden terrace is a pretty and tranquil space overlooking the neighbouring Blakeney House’s wonderful gardens. With an outdoor dining table for four as well as a sofa, coffee table and lounging chairs, the seating and decoration is perfect for al fresco breakfasts and afternoon drinks in the garden. Candlelight lanterns and wall mounted patio carriage lights all add to the romantic evening atmosphere too.

With a 32” LCD television, dvd player and a Roberts audio system with iPod docking, the cottage is ideal for cosy, tranquil evenings at home. The Wi-Fi also helps you stay connected if so desired! A good range of local history and tourist information books as well as a dvd, music and book library complement the cottage’s truly homely ambiance.

Lounge with view outside

In the autumn and winter the warmth and atmosphere of the real fire is one of the things which make Snowdrop Cottage feel charmingly relaxed and comfy. With luxurious check cashmere and wool throws on the sofas as well as a sheepskin rug on the squashy leather wing armchair for nestling into, relaxation is promised! The flickering flames of the fire and the glow of candle light in the sitting room ooze peacefulness.

The large cream fitted kitchen is extremely well equipped with a brushed stainless steel range cooker with halogen hobs, a large SMEG fridge freezer, integrated dishwasher, microwave and all of the other kitchen equipment you would expect. A rustic farmhouse dining table and chairs painted in farrow and ball heritage tone seats four.

First Floor

The king sized bedroom radiates romance, with its decoration taking its emphasis from Kate Forman’s roses range with complementary ‘toile de jouy’ cushions and sumptuous velvet cushions and silk bed throw. Cream bedside table lamps, antique brass wall lights and two windows overlooking the delightful Blakeney House gardens give the bedroom a lovely peaceful feel. A wonderful sleep is promised too with a premier vi-sprung mattress.

The bedroom situated at the front of the house has beds that can be either two singles or ‘zip and linked’ together to form a king size bed. As with all the furnishings in the cottage, the beds are superb quality and are extremely comfortable. Both rooms share the fully tiled white bathroom which has a shower above the bath.
